SBE: FEF Plans Workshop to Train and Empower Women in the FCT


he Frugal Empowerment Foundation (FEF) has announced its plans to hold a capacity-building workshop aimed at empowering women involved in petty trading in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The workshop, set to take place on November 30, 2024, is designed to address the financial limitations faced by these women and equip them with the skills necessary for business growth and sustainability. The initiative forms part of FEF’s ongoing Small Business Empowerment (SBE) project, which seeks to uplift vulnerable women by providing them with the tools and resources needed to thrive.

The workshop will offer comprehensive training sessions covering financial management, marketing strategies, and overcoming common business challenges.

Participants will also engage in interactive group activities and receive personalized coaching from industry experts. One of the key highlights of the event will be the distribution of grants to 100 selected participants, providing immediate financial assistance to support their business expansion efforts

FEF Secretary Grace Ojiji emphasized the importance of this workshop, stating, “Our goal is to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to manage and grow their businesses successfully.”
