The Frugal Empowerment Foundation (FEF) has officially commenced registration for the 2025 Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project, beginning with the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. This marks the launch of a renewed effort to support and uplift women petty traders across Nigeria by equipping them with financial grants, training, and business support.
The registration drive in Abuja has seen enthusiastic participation, as hundreds of women from various communities are signing up with hopes of improving their livelihoods.
The initiative aims to provide ₦150,000 grants to each selected beneficiary alongside relevant business training, in partnership with SMEDAN and other stakeholders.
Lagos and Edo States are set to join the registration process in May, expanding the reach of the project and solidifying FEF’s commitment to empowering 500 women nationwide in 2025. As the Foundation continues to advocate for economic inclusion, it calls on individuals, private organizations, and government bodies to partner and support this impactful cause.

The Frugal Empowerment Foundation (FEF) has once again taken bold steps in its commitment to economic inclusion and poverty alleviation with the launch of its 2025 Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. With registration already underway in Abuja and preparations set for Lagos, Edo, and Benue states, the foundation is working tirelessly to empower 500 women petty traders through financial grants and business training.
Each selected beneficiary will receive ₦150,000 in capital support, along with entrepreneurial training in partnership with agencies like SMEDAN to help them build sustainable livelihoods.
The project targets women in underserved communities — the unsung heroes who power local economies with their trade, often with little or no support. FEF believes that by lifting these women, it lifts families, communities, and the future of Nigeria itself.
As registration continues, FEF is calling on the public — individuals, organizations, development agencies, and philanthropists — to join in this mission. “We can’t do this alone. Every donation, every partnership, every act of support makes it possible to transform the lives of 500 women,” said Mr. Peter Osezua, Founder of FEF. “Let’s unite to end the struggles and bring hope to these women. Together, we can build a more empowered Nigeria.”
