Frugal Empowerment Foundation Cares for the Elderly, Bringing Entertainment and Affection to Brighten Their Lives
The Frugal Empowerment Foundation (FEF) continues to bring smiles, comfort, and companionship to some of the most overlooked members of society — the elderly. Through its signature project, Elderly Caring Saturday, the Foundation provides entertainment, heartfelt interactions, and much-needed care to senior citizens, reminding them that they are valued, cherished, and never forgotten. This initiative reflects FEF’s unwavering commitment to building a more compassionate society, where every individual, regardless of age, feels seen and loved.
Since its inception, Elderly Caring Saturday has impacted the lives of elderly individuals in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom, where the Foundation is actively registered and operational. These special Saturdays are set aside to visit elderly care homes, share music, engage in conversations, provide small gifts, and most importantly, offer the warmth of human connection. For many elderly residents, especially those with little or no family contact, these visits are moments of pure joy and emotional relief.
As the July edition approaches, excitement is building for the next Elderly Caring Saturday, scheduled to take place on July 5, 2025, at Uplands Home, a respected elderly care facility. FEF volunteers and supporters are preparing to deliver an afternoon filled with love, music, laughter, and engaging activities. The visit will not only entertain the residents but will also serve as a reminder that their experiences, wisdom, and presence matter deeply to the community.
